WB govt to organize synergy in cluster form for Birbhum and Burdwan MSMEs

New Delhi, Oct 22 (KNN) Aiming to boost MSME sector, the West Bengal government is going to organize a synergy in cluster form for Birbhum and Burdwan on November 15 at Durgapur in West Burdwan.

Following the directions of Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee, it is one of the eight synergies that the state Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) and Textiles department has decided to organize.

Besides organizing synergies in cluster form, a decision was also taken to ensure district visit of the department's officials and to undertake single window video conference from Kolkata itself.

Three synergies have already been organized at Siliguri, Malda and Jangalmahal and the other one in Durgapur is going to be the fourth one.

Synergy for the Birbhum, East and West Burdwan is going to be organized at Durgapur, in which entrepreneurs from all the three districts will be present and they will be discussing various issues with senior officials of the department, including the Additional Chief Secretary Alapan Bandyopadhyay.

The Industrial Development Officers (IDOs) of the area will also be present and local issues will also get sorted in the synergy, besides discussions on measures needed for further development of the sector in the area.

The entrepreneurs will also get to know about the various supports that the state government provides them to grow their business.

In yet another step, Bengal government will give more stress to MSME sector in the coming Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS) in 2019 which is scheduled to be held on February 7 and 8 in 2019.
