West Bengal exhibits MSME, infrastructure strength to lure US based industries

Kolkata, July 5 (KNN) The West Bengal government showcased their strengths in the area of MSME, heavy industries, infrastructure, tourism etc. to attract US based industries at the 42nd North American-Bengali Conference (NABC) 2022 held between July 1-3 at Las Vegas, USA.

A state pavilion was set up at the conference where the development and emergence of Bengal in Industry, MSME, Power, Tourism, and other socio-economic welfare initiatives with special emphasis on cultural activities were displayed.

Addressing the opening plenary for NABC on July, Amit Mitra, Principal Chief Advisor to the Chief Minister and state Finance department elaborated on the various state government led initiatives in the infrastructure, heavy industries, MSME, Power, Tourism and social sectors.

At the business forum of the NABC on the following day he addressed a select audience of USA-based industry professionals.

Mitra also held a brief interaction with Melinda Pavek, Consul General of the US at Kolkata on prospects of engagement and possibilities of West Bengal with such states of the USA which are well suited for a mutually beneficial road map.

He highlighted the various unique initiatives of the state in the areas of education, food, women empowerment and service delivery through initiation and successful implementation of several Social Welfare Schemes.  (KNN Bureau)
