West Bengal MSMEs submit range of issues to Grievance Redressal Committee of CGST Kolkata

Kolkata, April 7 (KNN) The micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and industry associations of West Bengal have presented a number of issues to the Grievance Redressal Committee of CGST, Kolkata Zone during a recent meeting.

Federation of Small and Medium Enterprises (FOSMI) raised the issue of credit in respect of invoices not uploaded by supplier.

J. L. Bardia, Treasurer of FOSMI presented the proposal highlighting how it affects the working capital of tax payers as despite having paid to the suppliers, taxpayers are required to pay in cash again.

FOSMI has urged to ease the provision by permitting provisional credit on self-basis with final adjustments before filling off final return.

The MSME association has also put forwards issues pertaining to restriction on use of ITC Vide Rule 86B, blocking of filing of GSTR1 vide rule 59 (5) etc.

Industry associations such as Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), Federation of Chambers of Commerce & Industry, North Bengal (FOCIN), Bharat Chamber of Commerce (BCC), Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industries (BCC&I) and Confederation of West Bengal Trade Associations (CWBTA) also submitted proposals addressing several other issues.

The Committee responded to all the issues through a brief explanation focusing on the decisions taken to counter the issue.

The proceedings of the meeting was conducted by A.P.S Suri, Pr. Chief Commissioner, Kolkata CGST & CX Zone and Ashish Chandhan, Principal Commissioner, CGST & CX, Kolkata South Commissionerate. (KNN Bureau)
