West Bengal State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission sets up circuit bench in Siliguri
Kolkata, June 25 (KNN) West Bengal State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission has set up a circuit bench in Siliguri which would handle All appeals and revisions petitions against decisions by the district forums of the districts covered under this.
The districts being covered by the circuit bench are Malda, Uttar Dinajpur, Dakshin Dinajpur, Jalpaiguri, Alipurduar, Cooch Behar, Darjeeling and Kalimpong.
All appeals and revisions petitions against decisions by the district forums of the above-mentioned districts and new cases involving monetary disputes ranging from above Rs 20 lakh and up to Rs 1 crore would be handled by the bench.
In another initiative, the State Government is planning to introduce an integrated online platform for monitoring projects undertaken by its departments.
The decision in this regard was taken during a recent meeting of senior officials of some of the crucial departments of the State Government, including Finance Department, Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department and Public Works Department.
The preliminary tasks for introducing the integrated project monitoring system have already been carried out.
