West Bengal Tribal Welfare board to impart skill training to tribal students

Kolkata, Aug 2 (KNN) The West Bengal State Tribal Welfare Board has announced online training course on skill development to provide skill training to tribal students.

Apart from providing basic computer learning and data entry skills, students will also be provided will application skills such as driving and mobile repairing.

All those students who have passed Class 10 are eligible for this course.

A senior official of the state government said that there was a need to impart relevant training to create a pool of skilled supply of chain operations and talent in the state and accordingly this step had been initiated so that more students could enroll themselves for the course.

E-commerce major Flipkart in May had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Paschim Banga Society of Skill Development (PBSSD), part of the West Bengal government's technical education, to impart industry training to youths to help create a pool of skilled supply chain operators in the state. (KNN Bureau)
