As per reports, during the meeting, the West Bengal officials emphasised that the state already has a solid foundation in these two areas and informed the industry members of the opportunities available to them, including the approved industrial park scheme, which permits individuals and companies to establish industrial parks on their own property with financial and non-financial support from the state government's MSME department.

Along with a carpet park and a silk park, the state is also building four garment parks near Calcutta, according to the government.

As per Mitra, the entire value chain of the textile industry was present in the meeting. There are many ideas exchanged. They showed interest in Bengal's textile sector.  (KNN Bureau)
