West Sikkim communities encouraged to come up with innovations and file for IPRs

Gyalshing, Aug 9 (KNN) Grassroots Innovation Augmentation Network (GIAN) and Honey Bee Network have jointly organised an innovation contest in Gyalshing district which is located in the West of Sikkim.

It has invited individuals to submit innovative ideas for humans, animal and natural resource management applications.

The contest intends to uncover hidden innovative talent and outstanding traditional knowledge protecting the Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) of creative individuals and communities.

An amount of Rs 15,000 will be awarded as first prize, Rs 10,000 for second position and Rs 5,000 for third rank, respectively.

The initiative is supported by District Administration of Gyalshing & Piramal Foundation.
