With BJP moving in Northeast Legislation, MSMEs in Northeast are eyeing at 'development-oriented' framework

New Delhi, Mar 6 (KNN) With the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) performing well in the elections in the North-Eastern states of Tripura, Meghalaya and Nagaland, the industrial sector including the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are looking at the new upcoming government for development oriented approach.

Talking to KNN, R S Joshi of the Federation of Industry & Commerce of North Eastern Region (FINER), said that the industry is set to welcome the new government.

Joshi said that with the BJP at the centre and it being likely at the states too, there would be synchronized mechanism and the industry oriented schemes would fine their way to implementation with ease.

"The industry is expecting a government that would work with its focus on the development of the economy in Northeast", he added.

Despite tremendous potential on the economic front, the industries aren't performing to the best of what it can due to lack of comprehensive framework, Joshi said.

"States such as Tripura can trigger growth for the entire northeast region if the energy and resources are harnessed properly".

Also a comprehensive ease of doing business framework is on the wish list of the industries in Northeast. (KNN/DA)
