Women livelihood service centre (WLSC) set-up in Trichy

Trichy, June 10 (KNN) To support the entrepreneurial aspirations of rural people, a women livelihood service centre (WLSC) has been set up at the Trichy district collectorate in Tamil Nadu under the Vaazhndhu Kattuvom project.

The WLSC is located behind the new collector officer and was inaugurated on Thursday by District collector S Sivarasu.

It will function as a one-stop centre to provide different kind of services to the entrepreneurs who require support and guidance with regards to their business ideas, said the DC unveiling the centre.

Aroon Joshva Roosevelt, DEO of Vaazhndhu Kattuvom project, formerly known as Tamil Nadu Rural Transformation Project (TNRTP) said the centre has experts which will help to take forward the business ideas of entrepreneurs or even help them in a formulating a fresh idea.

Business development services such as screening of entrepreneurs, business ideation and business plan preparation will be provided at WLSC.

Functional experts will be available at the centre and entrepreneurs will also have access to facilitation services including support to initiate entrepreneur activity, access to finance, mentorship etc.  (KNN Bureau)
