Stating that the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) sector is the top priority for her ministry, Commerce & Industry Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that the government is in talks with the European Union over Foreign Trade Agreement (FTA). Interacting with media after the Board of Trade (BOT) meet held in the national capital today, Sitharaman said that the FTA once signed would give a greater access to the Indian exporters in the EU market. “Let’s see how it moves,” she said. She said this in her reply to a question from KNN. Sitharaman also said that the MSMEs are at the top of the agenda for the Ministry for every policy, scheme or initiative. “MSMEs are getting a lot of priority. Some of the benefits which have been given to exporters across the board are inclusive of MSMEs,” she added. Watch Full Video (KNN Bureau)
