Google is taking several initiatives for big as well as small entrepreneurs: Google VP to KNN

New Delhi, July 12 (KNN) Tech giant Google has said that it is taking several initiatives for the big as well as small entrepreneurs who are still technically challenged to transform their businesses.

Talking exclusively to KNN, Caesar Sengupta, VP, Product Management at Google said, “We have been taking many initiatives for small and big entrepreneurs like internet Saathi where we take the internet to the rural areas to teach women how internet can change their lives. We take many initiatives for our entrepreneurs.”

Speaking on android developers in India, he said Google wants many developers in India to create android apps. Around one fourth developers are making mobile apps while the potential is huge here.

“So we have set up this training programmes to help developers make more apps not only for India but also for the world,” Sengupta said.

With its vision to help make India a global hub of high-quality mobile developers, Google yesterday launched the Android Skilling program in India that will aim to train two million mobile developers by unveiling a slew of initiatives to skill up, educate, and certify millions of students and developers in Android Development.

He appreciated the Skill India initiative taken by the Central Government Skill and said that Skill India is a fantastic initiative taken by the Government of India.

Google has also announced the launch of its globally recognised job-oriented Associate Android Developer Certification—a performance-based exam that will help successful candidates to get an entry-level Android Developer jobs in the Industry. After training, aspiring candidates can log on to the Google Developer training website and take the certification exam priced at INR 6,500/-.

Talking on Start-Ups, Goole VP said that tons of Start-Ups have been built in using android system like all the big names which you hear in India for e.g. Flipkart, Snapdeal. So all the start-ups are being built using android. (KNN Bureau)
