KNN talks to JNU expert on China on how Coronavirus is infecting GVC

Coronavirus has not only claimed thousands of lives in China but it has also infected global trade and business as China is a major exporter of raw materials to manufacturing countries. India, which is heavily dependent on China for raw materials, is also facing difficulties in their normal day to day operations due Corona aftermath.

KNN India, spoke to Dr Srikant Kondapalli, Professor of Chinese Studies, Jawahar Lal Nehru University (JNU) on the sidelines of a round table discussion on  ''Indo-China Bilateral trade, current scenario & the future prospects”.

The event was organised by Kirin Crayons and International Advertising Association (IAA).

Highlighting the impact of this virus on Chinese industries, Kondapalli said, “Well last 2-3 months there has been shut down in production in China because the government is concerned with security of people so they were not allowed to go outside which means they cannot go to the factories.''
