Federation of Indian Export Organization's (FIEO) President Sharad Kumar Saraf on Thursday said that Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) are suffering at the moment because they face too many hassle in their operations.

On the sidelines of Board of Trade Meet, he said the MSME sector suffers the most during this economic slowdown.

Saraf said, ‘’Because of too many hassles in operation they are suffering at the moment. They are left to do day to day management instead of looking into exports.’’

‘’If we can make their lives easier and remove all the hurdles being faced by them in operations, things will become much easier. For this we have requested the government particularly DGFT office to be more responsive to give out decision within 30 days irrespective of positive or negative decision. At least they should come out with their decisions within these 30 days," FIEO President asserted.

While commenting on government's decision he said that at present the decision making process is slow.

‘’On the basis of their decision, the exporter can decide for the further course of actions. But at the moment the decision making process is slow that’s what we have brought to government's notice,’’ he added.

Further, he also came out with the points which hamper MSME sector.

"MSME sector also suffered from very high cost of credit and lack of credit that’s what commerce Minister is addressing at the meet. I think within next 10 to 15 days he will come out a policy statement,’’ he concluded.
