Hailing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s move to ban currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 to check black money menace, Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises appealed to the public to lend their support to the scheme.

He said this while commenting on demonetization after inaugurating the MSME Expo 2016 in the India International Trade Fair at Pragati Maidan yesterday.

"I can understand the sufferings of the people,” he said adding that the government is taking all measures to make the situation smooth as soon as possible.

He said that PM Modi, in his appeal, had sought 50 days’ time from the public for the situation to get back to normalcy. (Watch Full Video) (KNN Bureau)
