Textile Ministry’s directive to the Cotton Corporation of India (CCI) to sel cotton directly to the MSME spinning mills would help many micro, small and medium enterprises in the sector, said Union MSME Minister Kalraj Mishra.

Speaking on the side-lines of an event, Mishra said, “The MSME Ministry is associated with every ministry. Also, a large number of MSMEs are in the textile sector. Hence, it is our duty to cooperate with them,” the MSME Minister said

At a time, when the cotton prices are surging in the country, the Textile Ministry has directed the CCI to sell the stocks with it directly to the small and medium spinning units.

Furthermore, the Minister also talked about the much awaited MSME Policy reiterating that it would be surely ready by October 31.
