New Delhi, Jan 10 (KNN) The Goods and Services tax (GST) Council is to meet on 18^th January, first time In the new year 2018.

The Council led by the Finance Minister is likely to take a call on simplifying the invoice matching procedures in order to minimalize leakages.  Experts are expecting the government to combine the different return forms under GST into one.

The meeting might consider revising definition of handcrafts and propose new list of handicraft items to be considered for the lower tax slab of 5 per cent.

The GST council comprising of the Union finance minister Arun Jaitley and state finance ministers are likely to deliberate on these concerns in the upcoming meeting in the national capital. (KNN/ DA)
