Bengal government working on export policy for MSME sector: AITC

Kolkata, Dec 27 (KNN) Bengal government is working on an export policy in the MSME sector and it is also constructing a Biswa Bangla mall to promote products made by micro and small scale industries.

The Biswa Bangla mall would have world class facilities and infrastructure. The architectural engineers will make its design.

According to All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) in a release said the Bengal  government has decided to construct a Biswa Bangla Mall on EM Bypass exhibiting wide varieties of handicrafts, Taant Sarees, and other products made by the artisans under various micro and small scale industries.

Biswa Bangla emphasised on MSME sector to provide platform to artists and the people involved in various micro and small scale industries promote their goods.

West Bengal Department of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) and Textiles has promoted Biswa Bangla Marketing Corporation for the improvement of quality of life of Bengal’s handloom weavers, craftsmen. Biswa Bangla has successfully revived the Bengal’s traditional arts and craft and promoted them at a global level.

“It may be mentioned that for the first time, Bengal government is preparing an export policy in the MSME sector,” AITC said.
