FISME Defence Suppliers’ Group to launch defence suppliers’ cluster with support from Central Tool Room Bhubaneswar

New Delhi, May 15 (KNN) The MSME defence suppliers’ group promoted by FISME, the leading federation of Indian MSMEs will launch a defence focus cluster.

This was mentioned by Pushpak Prakash, Chairman of the Group, while interacting with KNN.

Prakash mentioned that during his recent visit to the Central Tool Room & Training Centre, Bhubaneswar, he held detailed  discussions on the issue with the senior management of the tool room.

Among others, S. Maity, Managing Director of the CTTC and R K Rai, Director in charge of the Tool Rooms were present in the meeting.

The CTTC Bhubaneswar, promoted by the office of the Development Commissioner, MSME is  the premier institution for providing high end tooling and training to the MSMEs.

The Centre is equipped with state of the art machines and equipment including 3 D Printing in metal and alloys.

Due to its excellent manufacturing capacities, the CTTC is regularly approached by the defence suppliers and department of space for supplying precision components and items.

To handhold the MSMEs in supplying to defence requirement, CTTC Bhubaneswar has promoted a defence suppliers cluster who will leverage the facilities of the Centre to manufacture precision items to defence requirement.

Prakash informed that  FISME MSME Suppliers Group  will also promote one such cluster with the support of the CTTC which will focus on manufacturing of metal and plastic components  as per defence requirement.

He also informed that his group will soon submit a proposal to the CTTC for launching the cluster. (KNN/ DB)
