New Delhi, Aug 11 (KNN) Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley today launched  two important initiatives of the Ministry of MSME – MSME Data Bank Portal and Online Finance Facilitation Web Portal.

The initiatives were launched on the side-lines of 14th Meeting of the National Board of MSME in the presence of Union MSME Minister Kalraj Mishra, MoS MSME Ministry Giriraj Singh, Haribhai Parthibhai Chaudhary and MSME Secretary K K Jalan.

Mishra said, “Ministry of MSME is making efforts to have the first time online Census of the MSMEs in the country by launching a comprehensive databank.”

This will not only save efforts and money required for the physical census of the MSMEs but would also enable MSME units and associations to furnish data on a click of the button sitting at their units, he added.

Mishra said the MSME data bank will have exclusive access to Government Departments and  PSUs to search for MSME for their procurement needs.

He said the purpose of databank is to have one-stop source of information of MSMEs of India including their credit and technology, requirement in terms of raw material and marketing etc.

Meanwhile, Jaitley appreciated the initiatives by the MSME Ministry and said the Government is dedicated to Ease of Doing Business. (KNN Bureau)
