New Delhi, Feb 6 (KNN) In a bid to encourage entrepreneurship, the National Small Scale Industries Corporation (NSIC) announced setting up incubation centres to train the superannuated army jawans for setting up their own Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises units (MSME).

National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) is considering to collaborate with the armed forces to set up incubation centres to provide moderate technology and other skills to the jawans.

Commenting over the latest development, NSIC CMD Ravindra Nath said that the prime objective of the incubation centres is to train those jawans and soldiers including armed forces personnel that have superannuated with modest training of multiple nature with sufficient technological orientation for them to become self-reliant in terms of creating business avenues and job creation.

National Small Industries Corporation Limited (NSIC) is a Mini Ratna under Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises of India. NSIC is the nodal office for several schemes of Ministry of MSME such as Performance & Credit Rating, Single Point Registration, MSME Databank, National SC ST Hub, etc. (KNN/DA)
