BEE-IIP sign pact to support industry enhance energy efficiency

New Delhi, Jan 18 (KNN) Extending support to the industry in their effort for enhancing energy efficiency through the Knowledge Exchange Platform Initiative, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) and Institute for Industrial Productivity (IIP).

The MOU was signed by Abhay Bakre, Director General on behalf of BEE and Somnath Bhattacharjee, Director on behalf of IIP.

KEP (www.knowledgeplatform.in) was launched by BEE in partnership with IIP for transfer of best practices and technologies in industries covered under the Perform Achieve and Trade (PAT) scheme.

The overall guiding philosophy behind all the activities carried out under KEP has been to make it an effective platform, which is responsive to the needs of the Industry.

As the industry is gearing up to meet its target under the rolling cycles of PAT, there is a need to diversify and expand services, knowledge product and delivery channels of KEP.

The MoU signed will add further momentum to KEP in meeting these objectives and helping the industry overcome the challenges of implementing energy efficiency and catalysing adoption of international/ national best practices and technologies.
