GIZ-Bosch and Startup Tunnel to conduct Showcase event; Start-ups with innovative solutions may apply

New Delhi, Sept 15 (KNN) Aiming at encouraging innovation in the industry, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in association with Bosch and Startup Tunnel will be conducting the 9th edition of the showcase event in New Delhi on 10th October 2017, giving an opportunity to select startups to showcase their solutions.

During the event, over 10 start-ups will be given an opportunity to showcase their solutions they have built to deliver value across different sectors and industries. Start-ups with an innovative solution in the different areas including IoT, AR/VR, AI, Automation, or Block chain can apply for the opportunity.

These startups need to be focussed on solutions for the following sectors:  Agritech, aerospace, connected mobility, and connected industry 4.0.  Also startups engaged in  solutions for the digital supply chain, water management, or waste Management are welcome to apply for the opportunity.

Once selected, the entrepreneur will be given in a spot to showcase   their innovative product/ solution to a room full of VCs, angel investors, accelerators, and global companies.

The last date to apply for the spot is 27th September; interested startups may apply using the following link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/showcaseevent_newdelhi

GIZ informed that the event comes as a response to the rising need of innovation and it being an essential ingredient in the sustainable growth of the country.

It further said that the startup and impact enterprise space in India is growing fast with India ranking third in the number of startups only behind US and Britain. Venture funds, incubators, accelerators, corporates and relevant ecosystem players including the Government have been showing keen interest to encourage growth of startups.

Among them, corporates have a large and unique role to play in ensuring a thriving entrepreneurship ecosystem in the country however, it was observed that corporates make sporadic unilateral efforts to engage with incubators or enterprises with mixed results, on the other hand incubators; enterprises are unable to access big corporates.

Given the context GIZ have been working for various initiatives directed towards the line.

Earlier, GIZ partnered with Bosch and Intellecap under the developPPP.de framework of the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation & Development (BMZ), to initiate a Strategic Alliance on Corporate engagement in start-up and social enterprise incubation in India. (KNN/ DA)
