After Raymond, Peter England to come up with its variant of Khadi

New Delhi, May 24 (KNN) Peter England an apparel company under the Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd recently collaborated with the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) under which the brand will launch its exclusive range of ‘Khadi’.

The signing of the collaboration is done aiming at PM Modi’s vision of promotion of Khadi Fashion and hand woven fabric under the PPP modal.

Under the collaboration the retail chain will procure khadi and khadi products for the next five years.

The collaboration was penned down recently between Anshu Sinha, KVIC CEO and Ashish Diskshit, Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Business head. Also the KVIC Chairman Vinal Kumar was present at the event.

Saxena during a press interview said that Khadi being a brand protected by an act of parliament and the KVIC intends to protect as well as promote the fabric.

He further said that in many parts of the country the products are sold with the name of Khadi while it Is not the actual khadi. Therefore by giving out certifications the KVIC intends to certify the fabric with authenticity and genuineness.

Also recently Raymond launched its variant of the khadi along similar lines of collaboration with the KVIC. (KNN/ DA)
