MSDE launches 100 hour certificate course on GST to create GST-Trained Professionals
New Delhi, July 3 (KNN) The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) launched a 100 hour certificate course immediately after the rollout of the Goods and Services tax (GST) on July 1. The course is launched to create a GST trained professional workforce. The prime focus of the course would be to impart knowledge on the various know-hows of the GST.
According to the Ministry officials, the course will be conducted in 100 centres of 3 cities including Delhi, Bengaluru and Bhopal and is expected to commence from July 15.
The 100 hour certificate course is open to Chartered Accountants and Company Secretaries. Also graduates and post-graduate students of the disciplines including banking, statistics, commerce, financial markers, and business administration can take up the course.
The certificate course is being executed under the Governments flagship scheme of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY).
Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for skill Development and Entrepreneurship Rajiv Pratap Rudy in a press interview said that the GST is a historic reform by the Narendra Modi led government. A course along the line to help understand the GST will prove to be instrumental for the successful implementation of the new One Nation One Tax Policy.
