Ludhiana, Oct 18 (KNN) Union MSME Minister Kalraj Mishra has decided to take up the issue of airport in Ludhiana, an important business hub, with the Airports Authority of India (AAI) and minister of civil aviation Ashok Gajapathi Raju.

With the PM attending the National MSME Award function being held in Ludhiana this year, the top officials from the Ministry and PMO along are here to attend the function.

Mishra reached Chandigarh by air and came to Ludhiana by road.

While talking to the mediapersons here today, Mishra said, "Important business hub like Ludhiana definitely deserves an airport to improve city's connectivity with the rest of the country as well as the world. I have taken up the issue earlier also with my counterpart, but the government will ensure that all roadblocks in making Ludhiana airport operational are cleared at the earliest."

The National MSME awards function is being held at Punjab Agriculture University here. (KNN Bureau)
