'MSME sector to generate stack of job'

Jaipur, Jan 21 (KNN) Highlighting the role that  MSMEs play in country's growth,  Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Kailash Meghwal on Friday said that small and medium scale industries would be the key aspect in generating jobs for the youths in coming years.

According to him, MSME sector provides 6 crore employment and is also generating 13 lakh new employment opportunities every year.

He said while addressing the inaugural session of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Finance and SME conclave here.

He stated that MSMEs have always played a major role in transforming the economy of business.

Putting the figures in before he added that the SME sector contributes about 8 per cent to the country’s GDP, 45 per cent to the manufacturing output and 40 per cent to the exports.

Meanwhile, he also said that in order to achieve the dream of ‘Make in India’, government, industry and society would have to work together.

He also emphasized on timely financial assistance to MSMEs, as according to him it is important to continue the business.

In Rajasthan more than 90 per cent industries are MSMEs. Good quality products, encouraging government policies, availability of skilled labour, new technological interventions for quality enhancement and strong management skills of entrepreneurs reflects presence of MSME sector of the state, the Speaker said.
