WB Biswas Bangla plans to open 5 new stores in other parts of country

New Delhi, July 19 (KNN) Eyeing to expand the reach beyond the homeland, Biswas Bangla, the textile and handicrafts company supported by West Bengal government is planning to open 5 new stores this year in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Jaipur and Varanasi.

The textile company has been performing extremely well in its home state and fetched a business of Rs 20 crore in the financial year 2017-18 with 20 per cent yearly growth.

The Kolkata-based textile company currently operates in eight stores in Delhi and Kolkata retailing more than 10,000 products under its brand name in the price bracket that starts from Rs 100 and goes up to Rs 3 lakh (Around US $ 4,500).

Furthermore, Biswa Bangla will be coming up with fresh products with Nettle fibre and bamboo yarns that will be used to make clothes.

Notably, Biswa Bangla Marketing Corporation was established four years back by the Government of West Bengal under the Department of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
