WBKVIB implementing programmes, building infra for potters

Kolkata, May 24 (KNN) The West Bengal Khadi and Village Industries Board (WBKVIB), under the aegis of State Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), is implementing programmes and building modern infrastructure to help potters.

The State Government has come forward to help potters.

WBKVIB is building modern infrastructure to help potters, on plots handed over to it by the potters themselves. For a start, 260 potters would be getting the help.

A museum would also be built to preserve pots of various sizes and types like hnari, kolshi.

The government will also facilitate potters to sell their wares at better prices. A lot of attention is being given on packaging.

The government would be extending financial aid to help the potters market their goods. Fifty per cent of the funds would be given to them to start with. The rest would be given after judging quality of the goods and their sales.
