APEDA-PHDCCI to host Reverse Buyers and Sellers Meet to promote mango exports

New Delhi, Apr 16 (KNN) In a bid to Promote Export of Mango and Mango products, APEDA, Ministry of Commerce and Industry in association with PHD chamber of Commerce and Industry, is organizing the Reverse Buyers and Sellers Meet from 15th May to 16th May 2018 at Mumbai.

India being a 2nd largest producer of fruits and vegetables produces more than 30 varieties of Mangoes commercially, which is considered as the most important fruit of India and also Known as King of Fruits contributes 40.48% of the total world production of mango.

A brief seminar on India’s Potential for Export of Mango and Tropical Fruits will be organized in this meet with an aim to provide a common platform for interaction between buyers and sellers of Mangoes to promote exports of Mangoes and Tropical Fruits of India.

More than 50 sellers will gather at one place both from national and international domains and become a part of this program.

A special cultural evening and Dinner have been arranged for the participants on 15th May with a view to bring buyers and sellers closer.

Further wet sampling of fruits and products will be displayed by the sellers and also participants will get an exposure visit to APEDA Pack House with Irradiation, Hot Water & Vapor Heat Treatment facilities in Navi Mumbai on the concluding day of the event i.e. 16th May.

Special arrangements of 2 night stay have been made for the buyers in star hotel with meals along with that their cost of air travel from economy class(actual air fare or up to USD 1200 per buyer whichever is lower) will be reimbursed.

Rita A. Teaotia, Commerce Secretary has been invited as Chief Guest and D K Singh, Chairman, APEDA, Government of India and various Ministers’ from State Government will be presented at the event.

The process of registration involves selection of buyers on priority basis with a registration amount of Rs USD 150 (inclusive of Bank remittance charges).
