Jammu, Sep 22 (KNN) An awareness programme on implementation of GST Model Act 2016 was organized for MSMEs in Jammu by Bari Brahmana Industries Association.

The programme was organized in collaboration with Emcure Pharmaceutical P. Ltd and Bizsol India Services P. Ltd., Pune, here on Wednesday.

Lalit Mahajan, President, BBIA, said the programme aims to educate the industrial sector about GST.

The ways to provide the exemptions to the industrial sector of J&K in the GST Regime for the survival of industrial sector in J&K at par with the fiscal incentives available at present was also discussed.

“It is very difficult for the industrial sector to survive without the fiscal incentives due to locational disadvantages and additional cost of raw materials,” Mahajan said.

Ashok B Nawal, Vice Chairman, Bizsoil India, Pune, highlighted the various aspects in respect of implementation of GST Model Act- 2016 to help MSMEs avail the benefits.

Kashori Lal, Commissioner, Custom & Central Excise, Jammu was the Chief Guest at the event, appreciated the steps taken by BBIA to educate the industrial fraternity about the GST Model Act- 2016. (KNN Bureau)
