Udyog Aadhar in Ernakulam District shows positive trend

New Delhi, Feb 12 (KNN) Around 1065 Enterprises in Ernakulam District has filed a Udyog Aadhaar Memoranda and nearly 8000 of them are related to micro enterprises. Total 2186 number of memoranda submitted for small enterprises while 84 for medium enterprises, District Industries Centre (DIC) in a press report said.

DIC sources also said that around 3344 number of enterprises were registered between April 1, 2017 and January 21, 2018.

Out of which 2,633 of them were micro enterprises, while 686 were small enterprises, and 25 were medium-sized ones.

The Aadhaar based registration of enterprises under the MSME Act 2006 is a simplified process that was introduced in the State in the second half of 2015.

Maximum number of registrations in the district was made by service sector and approximately 422 enterprises were registered in the sector, while 151 enterprises registered were in textile and garment sectors.

There were 142 enterprises in engineering - mechanical and fabrications segments.

A total of 111 units were registered in the food sector, while 96 units registered related to the wood-based segment.

Around Rs 100crore amount of investments in enterprises were made this year  and around 2796 jobs have been created for men and 1619 for women.

On the other hand, in the second week of January around 35000 visitors came to visit the machinery expo organized by the Department of Industries and Commerce out of which 20,000 were business visitors. (KNN/YV)

    But still there are lot of the confusion around Udyog Aadhar. Banks are not accept to open current bank account and force to taken the GST Registration. Udyog Aadhar Registration definalty gives to goosebump to small enterprise but govt have to manage with the banks.
