Market cap of firms listed on BSE SME crosses Rs 9,600 crore

Mumbai, Dec 2 (KNN)  Market capitalisation of companies listed on the BSE SME platform today crossed the Rs 9,600 crore mark to settle at Rs 9,688.01 crore in trading today.
Among the 27 companies that were actively traded, there were 8 gainers and 13 losers while 6 remained unchanged.

Top gainers were Esteem Bio Organic Food Processing Ltd (17.62 per cent), Sunstar Realty Development Ltd (7.14 per cent), R J Bio-Tech Ltd (6.78 per cent) and Naysaa Securities Ltd (4.00 per cent).

Losers on the other hand included – GCM Commodity and Derivatives Ltd (-8.75 per cent), Kushal Tradelink Ltd (-8.06 per cent), RCL Retail Ltd (-5.00 per cent), and Atishay Infotech Ltd (-4.31 per cent).

There has been a lot more activity on the bourse these days with more companies listing, taking the total number to 79. 

Several other companies are waiting to be listed on the platform such as Karnavati Finance Limited, Raghuvansh Agrofarms Limited, Captain Pipes Limited and OP Chains Limited among others.

BSE commenced the SME platform on March 2012 and in over two- year period, BSE has achieved more than 90 per cent market share helping Indian SMEs create a market capitalisation of more than USD 1 billion.  Average IPO size on BSE SME is close to Rs 9 crore per issue. 

BSE SME Platform offers an entrepreneur an investor friendly environment, which enables the listing of SMEs from the unorganized sector scattered throughout India, into a regulated and organized sector.  (KNN/ES)
