New Delhi, July 13 (KNN) Financial support remains one of the major constraints in India for the start-ups even as they have innovative ideas and technology, said co-founder of Zickpea.
More and more college students are these days opting to become self-entrepreneurs rather than going for the jobs. The youngsters, from their college days, start thinking about the different out of the box ideas for their businesses.
 
According to an expert, “technology helps to improve efficiency and reduce cost of operations.”
To help the youth in saving money, providing them app to get discounts in the eateries, is one of the newly developed service by Zickpea.
 
“Despite of having technology, financial support remains the main hurdle when it comes to executing the idea” said NSIT student Akshit Khandelwal, founder of Zickpea, an app which offers discounts on various food joints.
 
When asked about what motivates you, answer was the same – “9-5 slot is not what youth is looking for, using their diversified potential with ideas and experience, working for someone under restriction is not what we are totally up for” said the young entrepreneur.
           
Creating new buzz around, “work in the society and for the society” with fresh energy despite of financial crises, make them more enthusiastic.
 
Meanwhile, we have another example where a young entrepreneur has the goal of empowering women through technology and entrepreneurship.
 
A social entrepreneur Harshit Gupta, founder of WOMENITE, seeks to enhance the women society in the economy to make them independent.
 
 
“Women need to be empowered through technology and entrepreneurship. We feel those women empowerment is still a mirage and we as a youth needs to take such initiative to empower women” said Gupta. (KNN/ Japneet)
