PM Modi, Denmark’s Mette Frederiksen Review Green Strategic Partnership at India-Nordic Summit
New Delhi, May 20 (KNN) Prime Minister Narendra Modi met acting Prime Minister of Denmark Mette Frederiksen in Oslo on the sidelines of the 3rd India-Nordic Summit.
The two leaders reviewed bilateral cooperation and discussed progress under the India-Denmark Green Strategic Partnership launched in 2020, focusing on environment, climate change and green transition initiatives.
Both sides agreed to strengthen cooperation in new and emerging technologies, communications, advanced research, startups, academic exchanges, defence and artificial intelligence. Prime Minister Modi invited Danish companies to establish a presence in GIFT City.
The leaders also discussed cooperation in the water sector and reviewed progress of the Smart Laboratory on Clean Rivers (SLCR) in Varanasi, a collaboration involving the Government of India, Indian Institute of Technology-Banaras Hindu University and the Government of Denmark.
Discussions were also held on mobility partnership and regional and global issues of mutual interest.
Prime Minister Modi conveyed his good wishes for Denmark’s ongoing tenure as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council.
