24 International delegates visit Mysuru industry; interact with industrialists

Mysore, Dec 30 (KNN) Delegates from 24 countries paid a visit to JK Tyres here as part of an exchange programme organized by the National Institute for Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (NI-MSME), Ministry of MSME, Government of India.

The visit was aimed at studying the total quality management, hand holding facilities to industries, financial support to MSMEs from government and the role of industries associations in development of industries.

According to the Vice President of JK Tyres Umesh K Shenoy, the delegates were curious about the functioning of industries in India.

He said the delegates belonged to industry and banking sectors and certification bodies and were aware about JK Tyres as it has existence in all their countries.

The delegates were addressed by UK Shenoy, Vice President (Works), JK Tyre & Industries Ltd and Vice President of Mysore Industries Association(MIA)., explained the delegates about, how JK Tyres and Industries made progress in tyre industries by setting-up benchmarks with best practices in Business during last 4 decades of its existence.

In the course of discussion MIA President said that Mysore has vast potential for the development of industries and tourism in the district and Karnataka is the best destination for investors.

Suresh Kumar Jain, Secretary, MIA informed that MIA was established 24 years ago providing escort and handholding support for the development of industries spread over in 3 districts of Mysore, Mandya and Chamarajanagara districts. Jain said the visit was organized as NI-MSME had approached MIA for a study tour in Karnataka. (KNN/RAS)
