Asia, Africa to explore business opportunities in agri products

New Delhi, Dec 17 (KNN)  To create business opportunities between the two continents of Asia and Africa, the Ministry of Agriculture will be hosting an international conference cum exhibition on agricultural products.

Organised by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and the Ministry of Agriculture, the first ever Asia-Africa Agri Business Forum will be held from February 4 to 6, 2014.

The forum would witness the participation of CEOs, importers, exporters, consultants, business development heads, agri commodity boards, policy makers, researchers, funding institutions, agriculture ministers and multilateral organisations from Asian and African countries.

The three day event in which around eighty countries is participating, will focus on building agribusiness linkages.  It will feature an international conference, an exhibition and business to business meetings.

It will also provide the participants a platform to forge new business partnerships, network with agriculture ministers, procurement agencies and key policymakers; interact with multilateral organisations, explore project financing and funding options and sharing of new best practices and new technologies.  (KNN/ST)
