Mumbai, Aug 1 (KNN) In order to connect small and medium enterprises of India with Britain, the United Kingdom-India Business Council (UKIBC) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Mumbai based SME Chamber of India.

With the European economy slowing down and the Indian economy still growing at five - six per cent, India offers good opportunity for British businesses.

According to UKIBC the cooperation with the SME Chamber of India will enhance connectivity between Indian and British SMEs and promote trade between the two countries.
“We are making it easier for British SMEs to do business with India,” said the chief executive officer of UKIBC, Richard Heald here.

The UKIBC will host business-to-business interactions for the Indian delegation while the SME Chamber of India will host the British delegation.

In order to help companies enter India, UKIBC has structured a new service which consists of four steps- learn, asses and prepare, plan and launch.

UKIBC is a business-led organisation promoting bilateral trade and investment between the two countries. Their objective is to increase trade between the two countries through dialogue.

It provides resource, knowledge and infrastructure support to UK companies to make the most from available opportunities in India.  (KNN/GUNJ)
