Business seminar held in Aurangabad for local entrepreneurs to explore business opportunity through Hong Kong

New Delhi, Jan 23 (KNN) Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the Chamber of Marathwada Industries & Agriculture (CMIA) and the Marathwada Association of Small Scale Industries & Agriculture (Massia) jointly held a business seminar in the city today with an aim to raise the awareness among local entrepreneurs and businessmen about Hong Kong being an excellent platform to expand their business globally.

The Seminar highlighted to Aurangabad based entrepreneurs, Hong Kong's business advantage as a gateway for businesses to reach out to China and other international markets via Hong Kong.

 Hong Kong-India bilateral trade has clocked high growth among Hong Kong's top 30 partner countries in 2017-18. India is Hong Kong's seventh-largest trading partner globally with bilateral trade of around US$34.11 billion in 2017, at an impressive increase of 27% over 2016, and a clear indication of the strong growing trade ties between the two countries.

Addressing the local business houses in Aurangabad, Peter Wong, HKTDC Regional Director, South East Asia & South Asia and Rajesh Bhagat, Consultant, South Asia, HKTDC, shared insights on international trade opportunities and the practical assistance that HKTDC can offer to assist Aurangabad's business community to expand their international markets via Hong Kong.

The seminar informed Indian entrepreneurs how to take advantage of the array of business services provided by HKTDC. HKTDC imparts value additions such as providing marketing opportunities, market intelligence and SME development programme that help Indian businesses grasp international business opportunities.

The seminar also focused on HKTDC's flagship knowledge events, namely the Asian Financial Forum (AFF) and the Asian Logistics and Maritime Conference (ALMC).
