Chinese companies to explore trade & investment opportunities in Gujarat

"Their primary goal is to explore joint venture opportunities with Gujarat based companies at the industrial park which will be set up under the MOU between the Indian and Chinese governments for the Chinese companies in Gujarat," said Secretary General, China India Trade and Investment Centre, Jagat Shah.
The Chinese team will be led by Party Secretary of Zhejiang Province, the senior most political leader of the Province, Xia Baolong.
The delegation represents sectors such as agriculture, automobile and auto components, banking and finance, chemical, construction and building materials, electrical, environment, food and beverages, furniture, health care / cosmetics, industrial products, information technology, infrastructure and real estate, leather, logistics, machinery, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, renewable energy, rubber products, textile, travel and tourism, etc.
The visit would significantly contribute to supporting the Prime Minister’s “Make in India” initiative and would also promote bilateral investment and trade relations between the two countries and the two provinces of Zhejiang and Gujarat, Shah said.
Zhejiang Province is one of the most prosperous regions of the neighbouring country with its GDP exceeding that of many European countries. (KNN/ES)
