CII inks MoU with Manufacturers' Association of Israel to boost trade ties

New Delhi, May 10 (KNN) The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) on Tuesday signed an agreement with the Manufacturers' Association of Israel (MAI) to boost trade between India and Israel.

The MoU was signed between ClI President Rakesh Bharti Mittal and MAI president Ron Tomer. The agreement was signed in the presence of Israel’s Foreign Minister Eli Cohen, India’s Water Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Israel’s Ambassador to India, Naor Gilon.

The primary objective of this agreement is to significantly increase the volume of trade between the two nations, which currently stands at USD 8.5 billion.

During the India-Israel Business Forum in New Delhi, CII also signed MoUs with the Israel Export and the International Cooperation Institute, and the Israel-Asia Chamber of Commerce.

CII in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel, The Ministry of Economy and Industry of Israel, the Embassy of Israel in India, and the Israel Export and International Cooperation Institute organised the special interaction with Eli Cohen, Foreign Minister, Government of Israel, during the Business Forum held in New Delhi on Tuesday.  (KNN Bureau)
