Committed to facilitate MSMEs through mentoring programs: Philippine Govt

New Delhi, Jan 2 (KNN) Spelling government’s commitment to encourage Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), Presidential Adviser for Entrepreneurship Joey Concepcion addressed SME Entrepreneurs  on the new year’s eve.

Joey said that along with the routine partnership in the ASEAN network, the government had time and again taken up projects aiming at helping small and medium enterprises in the country.

Go Negosyo recently collaborated with two government agencies to handhold SMEs. Also the Department of Trade & Industry was brought into the picture to help facilitate the Kaptid Mentor ME.

Informing of the achievements in 2017, Joey said that so far the government is able to reach 16 regions covering 92 provinces and cities throughout the year.

The initiative has helped reach more than 2,000 graduates this year in the KMME program, he further added.

Spelling out the agenda for the New Year, Joey said that the government is looking forward to produce more graduates through the Kapatid Mentor ME Program and Kapatid Agri Mentor ME Program.

Over 500 mentors are already on board, with good participation on both the ends, the small and medium enterprises are to benefit in the upcoming year, he said. (KNN/ MG)
