Czech Envoy stresses on greater B2B contacts between enterprises in K'taka & Czech Republic

New Delhi, Nov 28 (KNN) Czech Ambassador, Milan Hovorka, emphasized on the need for greater B2B contacts between enterprises in Karnataka and the Czech Republic.

He was speaking at the Business to Business (B2B) held at Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association (KASSIA) with a business delegation from the Czech Republic led by His Excellency Millan Hovorka, Ambassador of the Czech Republic of India and Libor Musil, Director, Association of Small & Medium Size Enterprises Czech Republic and C.S. Prakash Honorary Consul in Bangalore, Czech Republic.

Addressing the meeting, he said Czech Republic is giving a special focus to developing economic relations with the state of Karnataka and in that direction an Honorary Consulate has been set up as well as commercial office of that country in Bangalore.

“In the coming days there would be emphasis on establishing joint ventures and promoting technology transfers between companies in the Czech Republic and the Karnataka State”, he added.

The delegation comprised over 18 companies representing the small and medium enterprises in the Czech Republic in the manufacturing and other related segments.

Speaking during the meeting Libor Musil, Vice President, Association of Small & Medium Size Enterprises Czech Republic narrated his positive experience in setting up a unit in Karnataka, in Bangalore, which is growing steadily.

He said that there was considerable synergy between enterprises in the two countries which can be tapped into for tremendous mutual benefits for business.

President, KASSIA, Basavaraj S.Javali, welcomed the gathering and offered all help and cooperation by KASSIA in facilitating joint ventures and technology transfers as well as trade.

Over 20 delegates from the Association of Small & Medium Size Enterprises Czech Republic participated in the meeting.

The meeting was concluded with one to one meetings between the members of KASSIA and visiting Czech companies to explore avenues of cooperation between them.

The meeting was concluded with vote of thanks by Sri Ravikiran Kulkarni, General Secretary, KASSIA.
