Gajapathi Raju woos French cos to invest into India's aviation sector

New Delhi, June 18 (KNN) Deliberating upon the opportunities in Indian aviation market and ‘Make in India’, Union Minister of Civil Aviation, Ashok Gajapathi Raju invited French companies to invest into Indian aviation manufacturing sector.

A delegation led by the minister, at the 51st International Air Show in Paris, met the Minister for Transport, Marine Affairs and Fisheries of France, Alain Vidalies.

They discussed various issues related to aviation sector and focussed on manufacturing, infrastructure development and investment into India’s aviation sector.

The delegation also met the senior management personnel of important companies like Bombardier, Boeing and SAFRAN and also CEO and senior management of Textron, Thales and Dassault.

Raju invited them to manufacture their products in India as they already have a large presence in the country.

He also interacted with the Indian exhibitors participating in the air show. They informed the minister about their products and services being offered to the global industry. (KNN/ST)
