India Signs MoUs With 23 Countries To Promote India Stack & Digital Public Infrastructure: Jitin Prasada
New Delhi, Feb 7 (KNN) The government has signed memorandums of understanding (MoUs) or agreements with 23 countries for cooperation on India Stack and Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI), Union Minister of State for Electronics and IT Jitin Prasada while replying to a question informed the Rajya Sabha on Friday.
The minister said the agreements are aimed at sharing, replicating and adopting India’s digital governance platforms.
The MoUs focus on cooperation in areas such as digital identity, digital payments, data exchange and service delivery systems, in line with India’s broader DPI diplomacy under the India Stack framework.
Countries Covered Under MoUs
The countries that have signed MoUs with India include Armenia, Sierra Leone, Suriname, Antigua and Barbuda, Papua New Guinea, Trinidad and Tobago, Tanzania, Kenya, Cuba, Colombia, Laos, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Ethiopia, Jamaica, Gambia, Fiji, Guyana, Venezuela, Sri Lanka, Brazil, Lesotho, Maldives and Mongolia.
Global Expansion of UPI and DigiLocker
The minister said the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) is now operational in more than eight countries, including the UAE, Singapore, Bhutan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, France, Mauritius and Qatar.

Separately, MoUs have been signed with Cuba, Kenya, the United Arab Emirates and Laos for cooperation on DigiLocker.
Platforms to Promote DPI Globally

In addition, the Global DPI Repository, launched during India’s G20 Presidency in 2023, serves as a global knowledge platform, with India contributing the largest number of DPI solutions.
