India–Oman Talks Highlight Defence Industrial Cooperation, Joint Development & Tech Collaboration
New Delhi, Nov 25 (KNN) Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh and Oman’s Secretary General, Ministry of Defence, Dr. Mohammed Bin Naseer Bin Ali Al Zaabi, co-chaired the 13th Joint Military Cooperation Committee meeting in New Delhi on 24 November 2025.
The two sides reviewed the steady progress in defence cooperation and discussed measures to further strengthen bilateral engagements across multiple domains.
They also exchanged assessments on regional and global security developments, with particular focus on the Indian Ocean Region.
Both delegations reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing defence industrial cooperation, emphasising joint development, technology sharing and broader production partnerships.
The discussions highlighted the need to strengthen supply chains, improve interoperability, and encourage innovation in emerging defence technologies.
The two sides underscored the importance of developing long-term frameworks that support co-development of advanced defence platforms, promote indigenous manufacturing and bolster strategic resilience.
The meeting reiterated the strength of the India–Oman strategic partnership and the shared intent to maintain regular high-level dialogue.
During his visit, Dr. Al Zaabi also called on Minister of State, Defence, Sanjay Seth, and held discussions on bilateral defence ties. He later met Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan for further exchanges on cooperation.
India and Oman continue to build on a broad strategic relationship anchored in political, defence, economic and cultural ties, as well as shared interests in regional stability, counter-terrorism and maritime security.
