The event will be held from November 3-4 with over 200 exhibitors.
The International Textile Fair (ITF) is expected to further boost UAE’s booming textile industry, which was valued at USD 13.2 billion in 2011, and is growing at 9.9 per cent annually, a statement said.
The fair will be the first such dedicated event in the Gulf region.
ITF Dubai aims to be the UAE’s premier platform for fashion, fabric and clothing, showcasing the pre-collection highlights for Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter, the statement said.
With over 200 exhibitors, the show has grown each year, with an aim to become a major influence on the UAE’s fashion scene, it added.
According to the statement, organisers are targeting visitors from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Oman, Iraq, Libya, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
Manufacturers and their agents will also have the opportunity to showcase their products to the most influential buyers and designers on the UAE’s fashion scene, the statement said.
The ITF is supported by the Textile Merchants Group (TEXMAS) representing 800 wholesale textile traders of Dubai. (KNN/SD)
