Iraq bans import of Squash (KOSA) from all over the world

New Delhi, Apr 30 (KNN) Iraq has banned the import of Squash (KOSA) from all over the world.

The Embassy of Republic of Iraq in a communication to trade bodies said “Iraqi ministry of agriculture has banned importation of Squash (KOSA) from all over the world until further notice.”

Squash is classified as a vegetable and belongs to the family of ‘Cucurbitaceae’ and genus of ‘Cucurbita’.

There are several varieties of squash, commonly placed into groups such as winter squash and summer squash.
