Jaitley to open WEF India summit on Nov 4

New Delhi, Nov 2 (KNN) Finance Minister Arun Jaitley will open the World Economic Forum's India summit on November 4 in which more than 250 stakeholders and leaders, including Union Ministers will be participating. The theme of the meet is 'Delivering Growth in the New Context'.

WEF, along with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), will host the National Strategy Day on India here on November 3-4.

"Bringing together more than 250 national stakeholders and leaders from government, including 8 ministers, business and civil society, under a new meeting format, participants will engage in an intense one-day dialogue looking at the fast-changing economic, political and social landscape in India," WEF said in a statement today.

Jaitley will deliver the opening address on November 4, while Minister of State for Power, Coal, New and Renewable Energy Piyush Goyal will give away the India Social Entrepreneur of the Year 2015 Award on November 3. 

Besides Goyal, Urban Development, Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation as well as Parliamentary Affairs Minister M Venkaiah Naidu, Minister of State for Finance Jayant Sinha and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, among others, will be present. (KNN Bureau)
