Kannauj MSME perfumers eye Egyptian market

Lucknow, June 11 (KNN) Perfume traders from Uttar Pradesh’s Kannauj district discussed trade opportunities with importers of Egypt at a virtual buyer-seller meet.
The meet was jointly organised by the department of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) and export promotion of the state government and the Indian Embassy in Egypt.
Speaking at the event, Navneet Sehgal, Additional Chief Secretary, MSME apprised participants of the ODOP products, including “attar” (perfume) of Kannauj.
All possible support will be provided from the government to the buyers and sellers, assured Sehgal.
Looking for more opportunities, he requested
the Indian Embassy to share a list of key promotional and business events in Egypt in which Uttar Pradesh-based businesses can participate to expand their business prospects.
Abhishek Prakash, CEO, Invest UP invited Egypt-based companies to invest in Uttar Pradesh.
Indian ambassador to Egypt, Ajit Gupte was also present on the occasion who provided a brief overview of bilateral trade between the two countries and assured full support. (KNN Bureau)
