Mentor on Road – USA being held from Jun 4; to focus on SMEs, start-ups, Indian Diaspora
New Delhi, Apr 11 (KNN) The fifth flagship tour of the Mentor on Road initiative, supported by USCS - US Department of Commerce, will start from June 04, 2017 from Boston targeting SMBs, Start-ups, Women Empowerment and Indian Diaspora. "Mentor on Road - USA" program aims to increase the exchange of trade and knowledge between the USA and India.
The Mentor on Road – USA, will embark on a journey traveling to 30 cities in 24 states pan-USA for a span of 78 days in 2 legs.
Mentor on Road has already driven 5800+ miles pan-India addressing both functional and operational issues in Rural enterprises, Small and Medium and Cottage industries and has even advised on mobilizing and optimum use of funds by Start-ups.
The tour covered 35 cities in 22 states in a span of 65 days, affecting over 10,000 companies directly. One such similar project is being undertaken at Mentor on Road – Sri Lanka.
“But, the biggest and most challenging of all projects starts from June 04, 2017 from Boston. Chief Mentor for this tour – Jagat Shah will be making this journey by road meeting 100+ institutions such as SMBs, Start-ups, Women Empowerment and Indian Diaspora in our focus cities,” said a release.
The objective for meeting Small and Medium Business is to provide businesses with first-hand information on Indian market dynamics and mapping and identify best prospect sectors in India for a U.S. exporter.
The meeting also aims at addressing issues faced by businesses to look at Global markets and address practical approaches to overcome them.
Objectives for meeting Start-up Incubators/Accelerators is advising on how to make a start-up competitive in the international framework by following proven methods of market research, positioning and through exploring markets by digital sensing.
